As you may know, love is the foundation to all great things. Our treasured Ursa Mică glamping resort, laid under the Carpathian sky is no exception. It was built on our love for each other and our mutual and relentless love for sports and nature.
Two kindred spirits who transformed their desire to explore into a sustainable and fruitful business. It all began in Switzerland, where we first discovered glamping. This eye-opening experience not only changed our traveling style, but also brought us back home, eager to introduce this innovative concept to Romania.
In 2016, our dreams turned to reality when we built the first glamping resort in Romania, in Arges county.
Hundreds of guests followed and soon after, we were deeply honored to witness the glamping movement grow, as other entrepreneurs followed our lead.
At the end of the year, due to various challenges, we had to look for a new space, to relocate our beloved glamping resort. After many searches, we’ve finally found the picturesque village of Ciocanu and became the proud owners of an enchanted nook in the fabulous Rucăr-Bran corridor.
There, we’ve found a lovely traditional Romanian home, that we’ve preserved and restored to its former glory. We’ve added a restaurant and twelve heated tents, expanding our vision and welcoming arms.
In 2022, we added a brand new premium restaurant and 12 glam bungalows with an amazing architecture.
Ursa Mică Glamping Resort continues to flourish, thanks to the wonderful community growing around authentic and strong values, now counting more than 9000 guests and more to come.
When you go glamping, there's no tent to set, no backpack to fill, no campfire to start. All you must do is lay back and enjoy the unique experience provided by our glamping resort.
Here’s all you need to know before embarking on your unforgettable adventure at Ursa Mică Glamping Resort, in the heart of Transylvania:
Our premium glamping package in tents offers full boarding and access to hot tubs and sauna, for a minimum of two nights, from the May to October.
Our property is about 40,000 square meters, enough for you to roam free while enjoying all the privacy you can ask for.
We have private parking, based on availability.
Our tents are fully equipped tents with a stove and firewood, premium mattresses, pillows and blankets, cotton bed linen, bathrobes, and towels.
Check-in is after 5pm, while check-out is before 11am.
Check-in can be done online and must be completed upon arrival before heading towards the tent.
If you’d like to arrive earlier for lunch or to enjoy a drink with an amazing panorama in our glamping resort, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’ll be happy to welcome you. When your tent is ready for check in, we’ll guide you to it.
Access to wooden hot tubs and sauna lasts 1 hour, based on the reservation you make at the reception, after checking in.
We also have free wireless access at the restaurant area, and free private parking based on the availability.
We’re committed to preserving this amazing place we’ve built our resort upon. Everything we do must have a positive impact on the environment and the local economy. So, we kindly ask you to use the wood within reasonable limits and with respect towards nature.
Our tents are heated with stoves running on firewood. We provide the necessary firewood and lighters, but it’s your responsibility to start and maintain the fire, according to the instructions provided on our website in “Rules and Regulations for using the stove”. You will also find them printed inside your tent. In the “Rules and Regulation” document you can find also a video on how to start the fire in the correct way.
We will provide you 1 basket of firewood for 2 days in July and August and 1 basket of firewood per day in May, June, September and October. All logs are chopped and ready to use.
For additional firewood, please ask at the reception in the morning, so you can have them in the evening. Each basket costs 55lei (around 11EUR). We highly recommend you start the fire only at night, and only if temperatures drop below 15 degrees.

Your premium glamping experience has never been more tasteful!
Breakfast (8:30-10:30), lunch (13:30-15:00) and dinner (19:30-21:00) in our restaurant, with an ever-changing fixed menu served by the Ursa Mică Glamping team.
Vegetarians are most welcome! (Please let us know when you make the reservation).
The first meal on the check-in day is dinner and the last meal on check-out day is lunch. If you’d like to have lunch here on your check-in day, it will be paid separately, extra-charge, and we kindly ask you to inform us before arriving.
The beverages at the bar are not included and will be charged separately.
The three authentic Romanian meals are cooked with natural ingredients and served fresh in the same day.
We cook with natural, high-quality ingredients (milk, cream, a selection of cottage cheese and eggs from our neighbors’ yard, the Rimbu family, who are authorized farmers.
As much as possible, we’ll try to offer you home made products with natural ingredients (such us blueberries picked up from the mountains): fruit jams, zacusca, aubergine salad, visinata, afinata.
When it’s season time, we’ll lay on your table fresh fruit and vegetables from local producers. If you are not served with those above, it means they are out of stock, and we need to procure or produce them.
The cookies are freshly baked in our kitchen, with natural ingredients. From time-to-time, we will also provide you with deserts from trusted bakeries.
* We book each tent for one group of guests, up to 4 people. If there are only 2 of you, you’ll have the tent all for yourselves. The same goes for 3 guests. We rent each tent to a minimum of two adults and each guest will pay the premium glamping package price.

* We’re at 1250 m altitude, so the weather can change at any moment. Please make sure you’re dressed accordingly, so you can enjoy your premium glamping experience to the fullest.
Therefore, please include in your luggage some Waterproof shoes, jackets, and trousers. They’ll prove extremely useful, even in summer.

In the premium tent, situated on a wooden platform and equipped with all the comforts - with beds with premium mattresses, duvets, pillows, satin and cotton bedding, robes, and towels.
For the chilly mountain evenings, the tent can be heated with a wood-burning stove reminiscent of the good old days. All tents have a private terrace with a view of the Piatra Craiului mountains, where you can relax in privacy, savor your morning coffee, delight in the sunset, or stargaze with a glass of wine from the bar.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included for 2 people and served by our dedicated team in the Panoramic Restaurant with a view of the Piatra Craiului and Bucegi mountains.
Authentic Romanian food is freshly prepared from quality ingredients, many of which come from authorized farms in the area.

Any reservation made at Ursa Mica Glamping Resort is guaranteed and non-refundable.
If you cancel or modify the reservation, or in case of a “no show”, your payment will not be refunded. No financial reimbursement is provided for unused services and changes to reserved services during the client's stay, or in case of early departure.
Ursa Mică Glamping Resort is open every year between May and October for tents. We have no control over the weather, so there won’t be any reimbursement for cloudy, rainy, foggy, or chilly days. Please make sure you check the weather forecast before booking a tent.
The beverages at the bar are not included and will be paid separately.
Food and drinks purchased from outside are strictly prohibited on site.
Ursa Mică Glamping Resort can’t be held responsible and these cannot constitute grounds for refunding the price of the accommodation paid by the customer, in the following cases:
Smoke coming out of the tent as a result of not using the stove and the tools provided properly or as a result of the client’s lack of experience or ignorance of lighting/maintaining the fire;
The client’s own injury, through burning, as a result of trying to light the fire or carelessly touching it when it is hot.
Children must be supervised by adults throughout the operation of the fire in the stove, during all time fire is in the stove, children supervision being the guest’s responsibility.
Ursa Mică Glamping Resort is home to two shepherd dogs who walk freely on our property.
They are here to warn and protect us against wild animals.
Please make sure you are comfortable with this before making a reservation at our glamping resort.
