SPOTTING OUT THE LOCAL FAUNA AND FLORA

Wondering what to do around Ursa Mica Glamping Resort? Start with one of the most relaxing glamping activities, which is spotting the local fauna and flora.

Start walking with eyes wide open and ears perked, and you might see a fox between tall grass or a deer grazing at the edge of the forest.

There’s lots of vibrant-colored flowers to admire, from blue cornflower to the wild thyme, the great masterwort, the brown knapweed and the list continues.

Don’t miss…

Cheese in fir tree bark! It’s finger licking good! In Romanian culture, the fir tree is sacred and present in all landscapes, wedding ceremonies, it’s burned at huge festival fires, and why not, it can be used as a surprise element for impressive cheese recipes.

If you`re lucky…

Stay sharp and search for a rare flower, which exists exclusively here in the Carpathian, on Piatra Craiului Mountains. It’s a dark pinkish picotee, also known as Dianthus Callizonus. You may only shoot it with your camera and please, don’t touch it, under no circumstances.

If you`re really lucky…

Rare animals such as the lynx, black goats, and sensational butterflies. You never know what you can see in the Carpathian Mountains.
